On September 16th, 2014, municipal law attorney, Matt Johnson, moderated Lorman Seminar’s training seminar What You Need to Know About Public Records and Open Meetings in Idaho to a number of Treasure Valley attorneys, Governor’s office staff, city clerks, local police department staff and fire district secretaries. This was Matt’s second time moderating this event for Lorman Seminar.
In addition to Matt’s moderator duties he also presented important material during session two regarding what a public record is, the statutory provisions surrounding public records, and what records can be disclosed when a public records request is received by an entity.
Matt serves as the primary city attorney for the City of Melba and the City of Cascade, and also assists with legal counseling for the cities of McCall, Nampa and Wilder, as well as other local government agencies represented by White Peterson. Matt is knowledgeable in matters relating to zoning and land use, water law, and environmental issues.
