At the November meeting of the Southwest Idaho Estate Planning Council, held Tuesday, November 26, 2013, in Nampa, White Peterson attorneys Phil Peterson, Bill Nichols and Bill Punkoney participated in a continuing legal education discussion entitled “The Effects of Cardiac Disease in Advanced Planning” presented by Leonard Jensen, FNP-C, of Stonebridge Medical Case Management. The disease trajectory of cardiac patients, as distinguished from the much different typical trajectories for cancer and dementia (the other two most common geriatric ailments), was examined, including a discussion of the trajectory’s implications for financial planning for elder clients with cardiac problems.
The Southwest Idaho Estate Planning Council is a professional education organization for attorneys, CPAs, bank trust officers, and other estate planning professionals from Idaho’s Third Judicial District. It meets monthly for presentations and discussions on estate planning topics. Several of White Peterson’s attorneys are members of the council.
