Originally hailing from Montana, Dan graduated from Montana State University in 2012 with Bachelor’s Degrees in English Literature and History. He later received his Master’s Degree in History from Montana State in 2017. Dan then moved to the Treasure Valley and completed his Juris Doctor Degree at the University of Idaho College of Law.
Dan joined the firm in 2022. His practice focuses on municipal and local government, real estate development and land use law.
During his final two years of law school, Dan was a member of the Idaho Law Review, a position requiring excellent research and writing skills. In his third year, he served as a member of the Executive Board of the Idaho Law Review, holding the title as the Editor in Chief of the 2022 Natural Resources and Environmental Law edition. He also wrote, edited, and published chapters of the Sustainable Development Code, a nationally recognized authority on best practices approaches for cities implementing new development ordinances.
Before attending law school, Dan ran a successful independent publishing company and was an active residential real estate investor and renovator in the Bozeman area. Today, and with more than a decade of experience in the industry, Dan continues to keep a finger on the pulse the real estate market in the Treasure Valley.
In his personal time, Dan enjoys exploring far flung regions of Africa and Asia with his wife. He is an avid outdoorsman and nature photographer that likes spending weekends fishing and kayaking on the placid lakes and winding rivers of western Idaho.
