David joined White Peterson in October 2020. His practice areas focus upon civil litigation, real estate, general business and employment law matters and federal criminal defense.
Immediately out of law school, David joined Arkoosh Law Offices, Chtd., in Gooding, Idaho. He developed a broad practice that focused on agricultural law and litigation. In 2011, he had an opportunity to return to the family dairy farm. His agricultural law practice followed him and he began practicing law part time while eventually becoming an owner and general manager of the dairy. In 2020, after approximately nine years of dairying, he decided to practice law fulltime. David’s unique legal and agricultural background has been sought out by many clients because of his intimate knowledge of their industry. His agricultural background has helped shape unique solutions to difficult issues faced by clients.
David’s practice focuses on solving problems for businesses large and small. Instituting and defending litigation to accomplish client goals along with advising clients on transactional matters are the core of his practice. He has tried civil and criminal cases to jury verdict in Idaho State and Federal Courts and has presented oral argument to the Idaho Supreme Court, Idaho Court of Appeals and the U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. He regularly appears before the United States Bankruptcy Court, District of Idaho representing creditors and enjoys advising a non-profit school.
David was born in Ontario, California. He is married to his wife Lisa of nearly sixteen years and has two children that remind him every day he is not getting any younger. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking, crafting libations, snowmobiling, riding dirt bikes, torqueing bolts of various motor sport vehicles, hunting and exploring the great Idaho outdoors with his family.
